Velorbis Bicycles

We will representing Velorbis and as far as I know, are presently the only dealer in the Southeast US.  I have been riding a Churchill Balloon as my main mode of transportation for the past five months.  I don't have time to do a full write-up right now, but will have a full Velorbis page on the new website.  In brief, Velorbis work within the European City Bike genre but produce the best city bikes possible without compromising quality for cost.  The bicycles have hub brakes and dynamo hub lighting systems standard.  Brooks saddles and grips standard. Three, five, and seven speed hub options are available.  The frames are made from cromoly rather than the hi-tensile steel found on most city bikes.   Frames are lugged, given a rust proofing treatment and powdercoated.  The frames and hand-made and the bicycles assembled in Germany.  I have been impressed enough with mine that I purchased a Ladies' Scrap Deluxe for my wife. The bicycles are a joy to ride and are designed for everyday transportation in normal clothes--you needn't even roll up your pant leg.  This seems like a small detail, but I've found it is much more liberating than you'd think.  The bicycles can be shipped anywhere in the US for those who don't have a dealer nearby.  Bicycles are shipped in crate and are ready to ride after unpacking and about five minutes of assembly requiring no bicycle expertise--turn the handlebars, adjust seat, attach pedals and ride.
